Care That Made Kay Feel Like Part Of A Family

When life gives you a battle, you need the care and the encouragement to overcome. Cancer plays no favorites. At only 38 years of age, Kay could not imagine a word that could create a moment of panic like “cancer.” But fortunately, she had early detection thanks to the imaging technology and expertise of the Springfield Regional Imaging Center.
Diagnosed with breast cancer by radiologist Dr. Richard Cooper, she is now being treated by the Springfield Regional Cancer Center, where coordinated diagnostics and specialized treatment have given her an advantage in the battle against breast cancer. But just as importantly, the encouragement she received from the staff provided her with a positive outlook and tremendous resolve. To Kay, it was like being surrounded by the love and support of an extended family.
She expressed her appreciation of the care and support she received in a personal note to the staff:
"Thanks so much for your thoughts and for the beautiful flowers. We have been blessed by the people we have met on this journey. You all are among the best. I truly appreciate the compassion and care I received from everyone in your office." - Kay.
